4Links designs, manufactures, supplies and supports an extensive range of SpaceWire test equipment, network simulators, development systems and IP products.
The 4Links product range is renowned as being the most comprehensive and reliable on the market. Our Modular Satellite Development Systems enables very early integration. Thus avoiding the many problems that occur when integration is only carried out long after all the design decisions for each subsystem have been made, when it is too late to fix incompatibilities.
Our SpaceWire routing switch and codec IP products, using a patented synchronous receiver design, are implemented in a single clock domain and thus avoid all of the problems of asynchronous logic and the requirement for careful FPGA placement. This IP could be critical to the success of your next SpaceWire project!
4Links is based in the Science and Innovation Centre at Bletchley Park, the World War II code-breaking centre, in Buckinghamshire, UK.

Truly Responsive Launch -- Microcosm/SSLC are developing the Scorpius family of truly responsive small launch vehicles. The booth contains 80% of a full scale model of Demi-Sprite, the smallest of the launch-to-orbit vehicles and a full scale Demi-Sprite pod with operational tanks, that can also be used as a suborbital vehicle. Launched from the Alcantara launch site in Brazil, Demi-Sprite is by far the most responsive launch system available. From Alcantara, Dem-Sprite can launch into any LEO orbit from Sun Synchronous to Equatorial. Vandenberg can only launch to retrograde orbits. KSC launches to moderate or high inclination prograde orbits. From KSC a given launcher can put more payload into orbit around the Moon than into an equatorial LEO. Demi-Sprite is designed to launch within 8 hours of an unanticipated demand, even if there is already a launch vehicle on the stand. (There’s a reserve stand nearby.) It launches from a flat pad and needs no flame bucket or service tower. Demi-Sprite launches through 99.9% of winds aloft, eliminating what is typically the most common source of launch delays.

SUPERSiC® silicon carbide telescopes, mirrors, and structures for earth observation, star tracking, laser communication, and surveillance applications. Poco Graphite’s chemical vapor conversion (CVC) process for making SUPERSiC silicon carbide allows for highly-optimized and ultra-lightweight assemblies for space flight. The CVC process is also very low cost because large-volume machining is performed on the soft carbon material before gaseous conversion changes it to hard silicon carbide. After conversion, precision machining on critical surfaces ONLY helps to keep costs to a minimum and reduce lead times. Complex, highly optimized design, lightweight, low cost, shorter lead times are all characteristics of POCO’s unique method for making silicon carbide. These crucial advantages complement very well POCO’s long history of making for-flight hardware.

Valispace is a browser-based software allowing engineers to collaboratively develop better complex hardware products, including rockets and satellites. It serves as a Single Source of Truth and allows engineers to store and collaborate along the engineering lifecycle, all the way from requirements engineering, through detailed design up to verification and testing.
The Valispace software reduces hardware development costs by >20%, by digitising non-CAD data, using browser-based collaboration and complementary integrations to common engineering tools such as Matlab, Python, AGI’s STK and others. It supports interdisciplinary teams throughout the engineering lifecycle, from requirements management, through detailed design up to automatic verification.
In short: it is Github for Hardware.
Valispace is currently used by companies such as Airbus, ESA, Momentus, Nanoracks, ispace, etc. and has been named in Forbes as one of Germany’s 100 most innovative Start-ups 2018, featured in Wired and TechCrunch and won multiple start-up awards.

ZARM Technik AG
Holger W. Oelze
ZARM Technik AG was founded in 1997 as a spin-off from the Centre of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity, an institute of the University of Bremen. As the institute successfully contributed to several German Space missions ZARM Technik focused on development and manufacturing of components for satellite attitude control system. Since its founding ZARM Technik became one of the leading manufacturers of magnetotorquers and magnetometers. Components produced for satellites are in use on most European and numerously international spacecrafts as the European Navigation system Galileo, Astro-H, Radarsat or NuStar. ZARM Technik AG is manufacturing for all large system integrators, universities and Space agencies worldwide. By now more than 130 missions have been supplied. A number of these are for more than a decade in orbit as for instance the Grace mission since 2002. Over the last years ZARM Technik AG has received several awards for successful work in different projects.
